What started way back in 1969 during the Summer of Woodstock, a group of young musicians from Tallahassee had a dream of becoming the best band in the nation. After forty years and nearly 70+ of some of the greatest players seen anywhere, ELI has continually ripped up stages across the nation with their own blend of rock and roll with an attitude and a touch of the party! Their unique brand of showmanship and definitive musical skills brought them to the forefront as the tour opener for the mega-rock group KISS! Their amazing musical performances and over the top stage show have made them a crowd and club favorite for decades. Even forty years later, ELI is rocking harder than ever and continues to blow their thousands of longtime fans away and grab hold of new ones along the way!

Lance Owens

Vocals & Guitar

I was born and raised in Iron City, Georgia; a very small town in the Deep South western part of the state. I began learning and teaching myself how to play guitar at 12 years old. My dad listened to a lot of Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, Jimmy Hendrix, Deep Purple as well as many other artists and Southern Rock musicians. If you name it, he probably has it. Within a few years, I began writing my own music and at age 17, I joined a band called “Young Guns”. After a good run of fun and down a few members, this is where I finally decided to start my own band “Ketch22”. It was about 14 years later, I was playing a gig in Panama City Beach, Florida which is where I originally and fortunately met Kelly Love, Charlie Roberts and Jamie Majors of “Eli”. We quickly became friends and decided to write and record music together. The stars all started to align and the music just came out! And it’s still coming out!! I really hope you enjoy our music as half as much as I love creating it!! If so, please stay tuned….

Derek Davis

Bass

It all started for me back in 1980’s when I saw my first rock concert “Def Leppard and Billy Squire. I must have been about 10 years old at the time. Seeing such a show at that age made quite an impression on me and I knew right then, this was for me!! I got my first guitar around 1986 .The 80’s music scene was in full swing and I was completely enamored with the big hair, the clothes, the big productions and of course the girls. I spent many years playing guitar before a twist of fate made me a bass player. I played with various bands and individuals over the years. In 1997 Jamie Majors and I were both members of a band called “WRECKLESS JESTURE”. Jamie and I played in a few bands together. I spent quite a few years as a sound engineer as well working with acts such as ” Quiot Riot”, Flock Of Seagulls, Drivin and Cryin, Shiloh and Discount Super Star to name a few. In October of 2013 I reconnected with Jamie through Facebook. ELI was going through some changes and offered me an audition and as luck would have it, I got the spot. My first official action with the band was studio work with producer John Kurzweg (Creed, Jewel Puddle Of Mudd Producer).Working with John and the band has been very exciting.. It’s been a lot of work over the last year but has been worth every bit of it. Music is its most rewarding when you are playing with the right people.I couldn’t be more impressed by dedication the guys in ELI have. I am very honored to be a part of the ELI legacy and will do all I can to ensure it continues!!

Over the last forty years and various member changes, the band ELI has made a TON of music. Starting with the first album ________ released in 19__, to the last official record_________ released, in 19____, there is music that truly spans decades and two if not three generations. All of the music put forth over the years was full of passion and the desire to put out the best rock and roll the country had ever seen. Hundreds of thousands of people around the country have rocked hard to the music of ELI and their music has left a lasting impression on all of those that heard it.
